Hurlstone Park Additions
Site area: 274m2
Approval: DA Approval Canterbury City Council
Project: Ground floor extention & deck, and first floor master bedroom addition
Budget: $240,000
The existing rear section of the ground floor was renovated to make way for new 1.5 metre extension with large bifold door opening up onto a large covered deck serviced by a open fireplace. The rear addition and extension of the house was designed with a modern language, a direct and deliberate jaxtaposition to the traditional architecture to the front portion of the building. An open tread staircase leads up the new first floor master bedroom level, with an ensuite, wc room and walk-in robe tucked into the roof cavity.
